Corrections and Updates

Last updated

Last updated: October 25, 2026.

We want this site to be right. If we make a mistake, we fix it and say so.

Our policy

  • Errors of fact (a wrong date, number, name, document or status) are corrected as soon as we confirm them, with a target of within 24 hours of a credible report.
  • Corrected posts carry a note at the top, such as "Correction (date): we originally wrote X. The source says Y."
  • Updates (new developments, status changes) are added as a dated "Updated" line, with the original text kept intact when practical.
  • We do not quietly delete a factual error. If a post must be withdrawn, we say so and explain why.
  • Typos and formatting may be fixed without a note.

How to report a problem

Use the Contact page or email [email protected]. Please include the post link, the sentence in question, and a link to a source that shows the problem. We cannot act on claims we cannot check.

DatePostWhat changed
Oct. 25, 2026Where peptide regulation stands right nowCorrection: we originally gave October 15, 2026 as the date the interim peptide policy reached White House review. OMB's reginfo.gov record shows a received date of 10/14/2026. October 15 is the date of the AP and CNBC reports.
Oct. 25, 2026Where peptide regulation stands right nowCorrection: the timeline implied the next FDA advisory committee meeting concerned GHK-Cu only. FDA's page for that meeting lists five substances: GHK-Cu, PEG-MGF, melanotan II, LL-37 and dihexa acetate.
Oct. 25, 2026Where peptide regulation stands right nowClarification: the February 6, 2026 statement is now attributed to then-FDA Commissioner Martin Makary (FDA's page lists his term as April 2025 to May 2026).
Oct. 25, 2026The evidence ladderClarification: we had given one human study as the BPC-157 human evidence, from a 2025 review whose searches ended in June 2024. Two later reviews (published August 12, 2025 and October 8, 2026) count three human studies. The post, our plain-English explainer, our approved-vs-wellness comparison and the topic pages now give the range of one to three and say why the counts differ.

We will list each correction in this table with its date. The Oct. 25 timeline post carries an "Updated October 25, 2026" note at the top.
